The Civil Society Trust is a project of The Civil Society Fund. Established in 2005, the Civil Society Fund provides financial support to organizations worldwide that seek to advance the human condition by promoting the principles of freedom through limited government.
In contrast to the failures of governmental central planning, liberty stands alone in its proven track-record of lifting people out of poverty and advancing civil society. Through the support of such organizations, the Civil Society Fund seeks to promote this fundamental truth.

Tax Watchdogs. The Tax Foundation tracks the nation's tax burden and conducts research into how much we pay, how long it takes us to figure it out, and how many days we have to work to pay it. There's lots of interesting tax information on this site.
Interesting Feature: Tax Freedom Day—every year the Tax Foundation calculates how many days the average American has to work to pay the compendium of taxes that includes federal and state income tax, FICA, property tax, sales tax, corporate income tax, and others. Last year we worked 109 days to pay our taxes, compared with 65 days for housing, 52 days for medical care, and 31 days for food.
